“I really enjoyed the course, so practical and logical and easy to facilitate, you
can’t help but wonder why you haven’t always done it this way. I have immediately
put the Dorn method to work in my practice with great results.”

"I would like to thank Brigitte for a Wonderful weekend. Learning the Dorn Method
was a Fantastic experience, as a client I found the treatment very effective and
liked how powerful it was for something so gentle. As a Therapist I am really excited
about Introducing the Dorn Method to my clients as i'm sure it will be life changing
for so many of them. The simple self-help techniques complete the Dorn package perfectly
to ensure that the effects of the treatment will be long term. I went on the workshop
after my Friend had highly recommended it and i'm really glad I did!"

About us
I qualified in Remedial/Sports Massage in Sydney Australia at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies in 2002 and been practising since then. I set up my own business Lucy Bradley clinic in Plymouth UK in 2005 and treat many clients with a number of back, joint and muscular problems. I offer a wide range of treatments such as hot stone remedial massage, reflexology, lymphatic drainage and now The Dorn Method.
How we are using The Dorn Method today and what are the results?
I qualified in the Dorn Method with Brigitte in September 2010 and went on to do the advance with Thomas in February 2011.
I have found the Dorn to be an excellent treatment and have had many successful results. The Dorn works so well with my remedial stone massage as it can gently help to correct imbalances in the body in a very fast and effective way which in some conditions could take many massage treatments. It works very well with clients who suffer from scoliosis, arthritis and spasms in neck and shoulders.
I have really enjoyed learning this technique with Brigitte and then with Thomas and I am so pleased to be able to offer this wonderful treatment to my clients.

About us
I started studying The Dorn Method with Instructor Brigitte Nath at Stratford upon
Avon in May 2010 and in February 2011 was happy to complete my Advanced Dorn Method
Course with Brigitte and Thomas Zudrell.
Since then I have started my own business Dorn Method Nottingham and have put together
a website www.dornmethodnottingham.co.uk
Dorn Method Nottingham is totally devoted to promoting The Dorn Method and Breuss
Massage Therapies and nothing else. Since qualifying I now work from a local Therapy
Centre and our Therapy room at home. My clients range from 5 to 75 years of age
and come from all walks of life.
How we are using The Dorn Method today and what are the results?
Most of my clients come to me with Back and Joint Pain. Clients have found that
The Dorn Method effectively relieves the pain after just one or two treatments.
Other clients have found The Dorn Method has helped them with Depression and has
improved their general mental health, some with digestive problems, respiratory
problems and I have helped ease tension and pain in a client with the neurological
disorder Parkinson’s. Acute pain can often be relieved quickly whereas chronic conditions
mostly need more time.
I am currently working to encourage new mums to experience Dorn after going through
the traumatic process of childbirth and helping them to bring re-alignment and balance
back to their bodies as many experience Back and Joint Pain.

About us
Scorpio has been established for over 20 years and we now occupy three sites and
employ 15 therapists. We offer physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture and Western
dry needling, pilates, massage and nutritional advice. We pride ourselves in offering
not just the more mainstream types of manual therapy but also other techniques not
necessarily found in most clinics. These include the Graston Technique, three different
types of Western needling techniques (Gunn, NielsenTM, myofascial trigger point
release), Scenar therapy, Ko medicine (collateral meridian therapy) – and, of course,
Dorn Method.
How we are using The Dorn Method today and what are the results?
I’ve been using Dorn since summer 2009. Of course I don’t use it on every patient
who comes through the doors: I select it as only one treatment system from the large
arsenal of techniques available to every manual therapist. I find it particularly
useful for children, old people and those with osteoporosis, whiplash /road traffic
accident victims, and for those who have multiple problems.
For example I am currently treating a 40 year old lady who presented with pain in
her left shoulder, right hip, knees, left heel and right hand. When she first came
she said she “hurt all over” and that all her joints were stiff. There was no history
of trauma: all her symptoms had developed gradually over the previous year. She
was hypermobile, had a leg length discrepancy and a sacral torsion. There were scattered
areas of segmental restriction throughout her spine but especially at all the junctional
areas.
Dorn was the obvious technique to select, along with pilates to increase her body
awareness and restore her core stability.
To date she has had five Dorn sessions. When she came in last week one of my colleagues
remarked that she seemed to have undergone a personality change. She is much more
cheerful, she reports that her general stiffness has disappeared and that most of
her symptoms except for the hand pain have massively improved. For my part, each
treatment is getting easier: I can restore her leg length equality much more quickly
and the segmental restriction is less marked. And it’s nice to have a patient who
comes in radiating optimism and happiness where there seemed to be none at the beginning.

About us
The Maple Physical Therapy Clinic opened its doors two years ago and since then
has been providing relief to clients from all backgrounds and ages, through use
of hand on deep tissue treatments, gentle osteopathic techniques, kinesio taping,
Dorn Method, and rehabilitation exercises. The Clinic also works closely with cycle
teams providing treatment at training camps and competitions nationally and internationally.
How we are using The Dorn Method today and what are the results?
I have been using Dorn since September 2009, and integrated it straight away into
my client treatments after the training course. I found that it compliments Physical
Therapy treatments very well and it is particularly useful for clients with neck
pain, and those with pain of sacroiliac origin.
I work with a cycle team and have used Dorn techniques to treat neck pain they experienced
from the hyper-extended position they adopt while cycling. It gives them relief
very quickly and the homecare exercise is excellent to help them continue to get
the benefit after my treatment.
It is also very useful in the treatment of acute low back pain of sacroiliac origin.
A client who had difficulty walking due to her back pain got immediate relief from
a short treatment using only the Dorn Technique, and continued to get further relief
from her homecare exercises until the next treatment. At her next treatment she
was in a lot less pain which allowed me treat her using both Physical Therapy techniques
and the Dorn techniques.
